The first set is kind of funny. Caroline had a science experiment and had to show the family eating dinner "over a series of days." Here we are trying to be natural. You can get a look at the house, if nothing else. We use mostly government issued furniture here in Okinawa so the government doesn't pay for shipping household goods. You can tell the dining room set is gov't issue.
These are pretty lame photos but it was funny.
We took Jared and his friend to the Cristmas House Restaurant. They are only open for about 6 weeks. The restaurant is actually a home. The family who owns it is a retired marine and his wife, a local national. We love coming here.
The pictures are terrible. I couldn't get the camera to stop giving everyine satanic eyes, then the kids were hamming it up and being crazy the whole time.
You can get a sense of how much time and effort they put into decorating the restaurant.
The more annoyed I got with them for not taking "wholesome family" pictures, the worse they got. Exhibit A:
Jared brought his friend Daryl, he is stationed in the Air Force here.
The whole night, every time I tried to take a picture....
The view from our deck.
One of Patrick's paintings.
