The kids convinced me to decorate for Christmas. I wasn't in the mood as we were heading to Seoul for the Christmas holiday and all I could see was another project for me to deal with. Bah Humbug! But I couldn't say "no" after hours and days of begging.
Caroline and I went local and bought a Japanese (small and skinny) Christmas tree. It was really cute and we did a great job decorating it.
I bought a bunch of Nutcrackers from our Germany shipment when I worked at the Gift Corner. I got them 40% off. They are really beautiful. We put them out for a nice display at the entry way.
This is our living room.
Bill put up the stockings. I made these for our family back in 2005 (we got married in 2006). It was nice because Jared read what I wrote on the inside. I wrote a note to each one of them on the fabric, welcoming them to our family. He didn't appreciate as much when he was 13, now at 20, he was really touched by it. So the Christmas decorating was worth it.
