Lots of Stuff in One Day - August 12

I was resigned to another day filled with work.  I am leaving to go back to Oki on Saturday so I am finishing up my course preparation, cleaning the house etc.
My dad called me about noon and told me that my brother Paul and his family were in town and were heading my way.  Hooray!!
I have not seen them in two years (at least).
I hope you don't mind that my narrative will be brief.  I have packing to do...

Caroline came over to visit.  I had to make up a reason for her to come over.  Her friend, Jessica, planned a surprise going away party for her.  I was in charge of getting her to the house.  Her friends were coming at 5 pm.

Dorian liked to slide into the ring, she also liked to slide down with the ring on.  She just liked to slide...

Caroline's friends got here about 5 pm.  Jessica brought a giant cookie to say "Goodbye."

At some point the teenagers went down to the sound and jumped in with the rafts.  They quickly learned that the current is strong and the rafts move quickly.  They decided to come back to the pool.

Just when I though everyone was here...Steve and Steven dropped by to say "hello."  This was so nice.  These two had been down from DC for the weekend to work on the house down here.  They were heading back to DC and came over here just to visit.  So thoughful.  It was about 7 pm and they had a long drive in front of them and Steve had to work the next day.  I figured that they must have got back around 2:30 am.  Amazing and so thoughtful.

Steven told me all about his senior thesis on Arlington National Cemetary.  I love that kind of stuff.

Action packed day, full of surprises!!
Great day.
