Before I get into that, I have to share what I get to see every morning on the weekends. I get up late and my brother, Ed, is already out on the deck with his coffee. I took these picture peering through the blinds because I did not want him to see me. I wanted to share how peaceful he looks. It s nice to wake up and see him relaxing and contemplating life.
So, we have been going to Saturday evening mass because I can't do the morning thing. I really enjoy it. The priest is great! I have heard about him for years and felt so lucky that I got to see him. Great sermons.
Joe and Laura met us for mass. He called earlier in the week promising to make dinner. You never say "no" when Joe and Laura ask you to dinner.
My friend Tara joined us. She has come a few times this summer. Usually we go to the Mexican restaurant after church but, again, Joe and Laura invited, you never turn it down.

Time for dinner! Laura made rice, breaded okra, squash and zucchini, green beans. Joe made shrimp and tomato and fish. So good!
OK, the other great thing is that you get to try all of their home brews. It is so fun.
Warning! I am a light weight.
Here we are with the first glass...

Umm, second (or third glass).
I don't third or fourth. Everything was funny...
I told you, lightweight...

Joe started cooking.
Our dinner....
Awesome!! And "no," that is not all that I ate. I had about 3 plates just like this one.
