Giant Slide at Manta Park and Nakamura House

We decided to find the giant slide at Manta Park one Saturday.  We heard a lot about it and had to mark it off the "to do" list.
It was quite an adventure finding the park but worth it.  We won't do it again but it was fun.
The giant slide is in the middle of a city park.  There a lot of beautiful parks and playgrounds for kids here.  It is free.
Bill is at the top heading down.

Bill

Bill and Caroline.  It is huge!

From there we headed to Nakamura House.  Nakamura House was built in 1780 but dates back to 1115.  It is one of 9 World Heritage sites on Okinawa.

We loved the beautiful simplicity of the tatami mats.

I stole Bill's hat.  The sun is very intense here.

Pig sty

They gave us tea black sugar jello and "black sugar" at the end of the tour in the gift shop.  The black sugar was a new taste for me.  it was kind of like black licorice but more bitter.  We really liked it.
