Thailand-Day 2 (part 2)

Everyone says to take a cooking class when you go to Thailand.  So we did.   I really didn't know why until we got there.  It was a blast!
All of us loved it.  The teachers were funny and interesting.  The other students were from all over the world.  We were with people from Lithuania, Iceland, Hawaii, India, Britain and more.
So fun.
Here is our hotel pick up...

Through the streets of Chiang Mai.

The class was at our teacher's home.  It spread across three or four buildings.  Lots of stoves...

This was part of our class.  The two young girls were from Britain.  They just graduated from college and were spending three months traveling Thailand, Cambodia, and Viet Nam.  They were really cute.  The young guy was from India.

Our first lesson was the market.  We learned about local produce.

Our teacher, Gaye.  A you can see, a ton of personality

Bill pointed out the wiring overhead.  He said my brother Joe would have a lotto say about this...

We chose our dishes off a menu, then we were split up by our dish to our assigned teacher.

It was a four course dinner so sometimes we were together, sometimes not.  But we had a great time no matter where we were.

Here we are, finally!  The meal was great.

Jared opted for more chilis than even the Thai include in one of his dishes.  We couldn't eat it.  Here is Gaye, our teacher giving his dish a try...Hilarious!!

Better luck next time Jared!!!
Definitely would go back. A blast.
