By the second at the fabulous resort, I had a temperature, vomiting etc and was about delirious. I think I should not have eaten scallops the night before we left Chiang Mai. I knew it was a bad idea. Not sure if that is what caused it, but I think so...
I had already booked us to go to an "amusement" park with dinner theater called "Fanta-sea." I had to opt out while the others went.
Here I am, looking pretty good compared to the middle of the night.
Here is the park. They had a great time.
This where the live show was. They said it was amazing. Elephants, chickens, doves. Dancers, fireworks etc. You can't take pictures inside.
Apparently, these guys were all over the park and no one could figure our what they stood for. Cute but... nothing to do with Thailand that we figured out.
Bill looks pretty good considering he was up taking care of me all night...no that is not me...
This is the entrance to the dining hall.
I even booked us in the special dining room...
Amazing food...
After dinner, they hit the arcade and won a ton a prizes... They had to wait a while before the show opened up.
The first booth was a pistol shot so Bill cleaned up.
More of these guys??
They were selling crazy animal print jackets so Jared and Caroline decided to pose...
They were showing a white tiger too.
All of the prizes. They gave them away to the local children.
As you can see, I did perk up when they told me what a great time they had...
Great time at the resort! At least from what I hear. We left two days later, no pics because no Ann. They went biking, swimming, eating.
I was barely on my feet and we had to leave. I was in a wheelchair from the time we left the hotel until we got to Okinawa 20 hours later (long layover), then I went back to bed for a few days.
Here is our boarding gate out of Phuket and back to Okinawa...

Thailand-Day 4
On day 4 we went south to Phuket, a beach resort town. Totally different from Chiang Mai. We booked at an amazing resort. So beautiful.
Here is our welcoming in our room.
A quick look around the grounds before Bill and I went off to the pool.
We ran into Jared and Caroline having lunch by the pool.
That is all I saw of the resort as the next three days I was in bed very, very, very sick. Literally.

Thailand-Day 3
Our third day we went river rafting. So fun. Patrick was burned out a bit so he stayed at the hotel.
Here we are getting a brief on the trip.
Some scenery and the river.
This place also did elephant treks. It was neat to see them while were were rafting.
We ran into the British girls from our Thai cooking class. As you can see, we were all happy to see each other again. They were really neat.
Here we are checking out some other rafters to see what we might be in for. You might be able to just make out the raft in the water.
So this made us a little nervous.. and excited.
On our way!
We had lunch before the trip. That was great idea because it took a lot of energy!! Here are some great shots of my kids...
Here we are after the trip with our guide. He was really fun. It was so fun. Lots of really thrilling moments. Bill got tossed from the boat in the rapids and had to pull himself in while water was rushing beneath him, we also got wedged in between some rocks, and had to rock and push our way through, Caroline got thrown in the water by the flirtatious guide...lots of laughs.
We had to wait while the others then went four-wheeling. We didn't want to that. We opted to grab a hut by the water and have a snack. A good idea. We had enough adrenalin for the day.
Here was our view.
We learned that every yard in Thailand has these spirit houses. They are for ancestor's spirits. You can have any spirit you want in your yard. You can have separate houses for spirits who don't get along and have to reside apart from each other.
Here is the little restaurant with the seaside huts where we sat. We had a nice time chatting and laughing and just relaxing.
