Meeting the President - Dec 29

So, Barack and family vacation in Hawaii every Christmas. We have been dying to see him. We have seen the motorcade on the base a few times.
Then we heard he was playing golf right behind our complex. So we jumped out of the pool and ran to the fence. I literally was in a beach towel. 
He came right up and shook our hands. Luckily we were right up front row. There was only about 40 of us gathered.
You can also see the view sunset from our house every night.
So awesome. He was really nice and friendly to us.
We started snapping pictures as soon as we saw the golf carts. Who knew that he was actually going to come up and shake our hands!

Someone brought his book. So he went around and shook hands then came back to sign the book.

Nuuanu Trail - Dec 27

So we have been wanting to take Alicia up one of our favorite trails since 2008. Finally!

It took about an hour to get to the top. Add another 40 minutes loosing the trail in the very beginning...

Note to self, do not try to balance on a rock way up high and take selfies...

Polynesian Cultural Center - Dec 26

We had a great time at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It is kind of like Disney's EPCOT for the Polynesian Islands. Great show after dinner too.
*As I was loading this I ran into technical problems and had to reload everything. Now all the photos ar out of order...Sigh.
Anyway, Caroline's Bday is Dec 26 so we had her gifts before went to the PCC.

At mid day there is a parade of all of the Polynesian islands.

In the morning, we celebrated Caroline's BDay. We surprised her with a necklace that she has been wanting for awhile. She tols us about it months ago and she thought we forgot.

Meanwhile...the photos from PCC...
