Hong Kong - Christmas 2013

Very late, but here are some quick shots from our time in Hong Kong last year. On Christmas Day we went to Tian Tan (aka the Big Buddha) and Po Lin Monestary on Lantau Island. This is my favorite place to go in Hong Kong. The weather was perfect.
We took the cable car up to the mountain. It takes about 25 minutes. It is so fun! Then we had a vegetarian lunch made by the monks and climbed to the top where the Buddha is located.
Just a great day.

Christmas at our House

We opened gifts at our house before we took off to Hong Kong for Christmas. It was small but we had a good time.

The kids were hyped up. I think it was early for them.  Or maybe they just knew they were getting cash.

Patrick had his cousin, Joe on Skype for our Christmas. That was really neat.

Our cute Japanese Christmas Tree.

 Jared's students from Lester Middle School here on Okinawa, made a "Flat Jared" after he left. So we made it a Christmas ornament.

Patrick got me earrings and a necklace.

Caroline opens the gift that Patrick got her (read, Mom bought and Patrick has no idea what is in the box).

She loved it!

Now she opens what Jared got her, same as above...

Bill bought Jared, facial cleanser...awesome gift. Not really, he bought him new shoes. But it was fun when Jared opened the facial soap.

Good Christmas.  Off to have coffee and pancakes...
